Gourdon

Gourdon is perched at about 750 metres above sea-level overlooking the Vallee du Loup. It has the most spectacular panoramic views of the coastline from Nice in the east stretching 80 kilometres to Theole-sur-mer in the West.

Getting there is an adventure in itself. The ascent via a series of narrows roads can be quite challenging. It is definitely worth the effort, though, to see this pretty village full of craft shops, perfumeries, and small restaurants. The village is crowned by the Chateau de Gourdon which is worth a visit and has some of the best views.
